Prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony, teacher Catherine Penta addressed the packed auditorium as representatives of the "past and the present" prepare with the giant sissor. They are Ray E Swope, Jr. a life-long resident of Womelsdorf; Karly Sabold, 10 year old fourth grader of North Heidelberg Township; Garrett Jones, 8 year old third grader of Wolmesdorf and former teacher and Guidence Councilor Chris Elliott from Wyomissing.
