Bushels of apples to be peeled and cut up.

At the home of Chris Witmer in Brecknock township Friday evening where he and a group of friends were cutting up apples in preparation for making apple butter the next day. Chris makes apple butter the old fashioned way, in a large copper kettle stirred by hand over an open fire. The process takes most of the day, so they cut the apples and clean the kettle the night before. For a feature in Berks Country
